Quality of Work

enclosureONExia's Quality of Work is certified every time a customer brings us back in for a new or duplicate application. Most of that repeat business is because we take great pride in the way our machines look, feel and operate. This is important both when they leave our facility and through long term use at our customer's site. The following will give you a better idea on how we shine.

Control Enclosure

Key Control Panel Features:
  • Crimp on Ferrules for Long-Term Machine Durability, especially in vibrating automated machinery. This reduces nuisance shorts or stray wire from shutting down a machine or causing problems.

  • Shrink Tube Wire Numbers are applied to all wires to avoid the traditional missing wire numbers that leads to longer troubleshooting time. Numbers are always in place and legible.

  • Separate Power Supplies are used for Logic (I/O) and Control.

  • Circuit Breakers are used instead of fuses for ease of re-setting.

The Ultimate Customer Experience

What distinguishes us from other system integrators is our superior service. Our degreed engineers know automation and motion control. Every day we assist companies like yours in developing a concept, writing specifications and implementing new technologies. Developed and perfected over the years, our strategical project process carefully outlines each task, not only saving time and money but keeping our clients involved and well informed.

Project Process

During the Initial Phase, we work closely with the customer to make sure that our proposal and concept meets the requirements of the project. After this we will have our Kick Off Meeting, where we will review the proposal and concept, inspect the site of the machine's final location and present a formal project schedule.

We will also develop the Initial Acceptance Criteria, identify areas of technical concern and risk, and obtain samples for prototyping. During design and assembly we keep our customers involved and updated on the progress.

Upon completion, we review the machine's operation and sequencing with the customer's operators and maintenance staff, and allow the operators to run the Machine Acceptance. ONExia associates will verify machine placement and hookups, and spend time on-site training operators and working with IT personnel.

Count on ONExia for Proven Results!

We have dramatically reduced many of our customer's overhead costs. Instead of your staff placing orders for all of the different components, bringing them in to inventory, pulling numerous boxes off the shelf, assembling them and putting them into a machine, they order one part number which shows up when you need it, ready to install.

Machine
Quick return on investment

We assisted a customer who needed to increase machine throughput for manufacturing products from 50 parts per minute to 220!

Faster time to market for OEMs

Our design group has designed, manufactured and programmed prototypes for OEMs. We provided the assembly prints and source code s that the customer could begin full-scale production. This allowed our customers to dedicate their in-house resources to improving their processes, reducing the new product development by at least 12 months!

Process improvements

A $60,000 investment with us to replace old controls on a process has shown a 30% increase in productivity, and eliminated the need to replace a $ 250,000 machine.

Custom and off the shelf machinery upgrades

There is now no need to replace old equipment because of today's flexible manufacturing requirements. We have upgraded many machines to accommodate the new changes in throughput requirements, faster product changeover with drastically reduced capital investment!

Control Software Methodology

Control software, as the name implies, requires that you maintain control of a machine at all times through a very limited set of options. At ONExia we write software using a "state-model" software concept. All asynchronous procedures are broken into separate "tasks," and a set of possible "states" is written for each task or procedure. Each step in the state model represents an action, or detection of an action that the equipment must pass through to complete a cycle.

The state-model only allows for two possible results from the action: completion or error. All errors are trapped in this model and will have a new state in the model to recover from each different type of error. If possible, the states for recovering from an error will return back to the original state, and continue to complete the machine cycle. To implement the state-model of the machine, we must know all allowable options for each step, and how we are expected to recover from each in the event of an error. These detailed control steps and error recovery sequences must be specified by the customer.

After the model is written and deemed complete, the ONExia software engineer tests each and every step and all error modes for proper function. If a programming error is found during testing, the state model ensures that only one step in the program has an error. Repairs to the software do not affect code that is not a potential next step in the state-model. This allows easy repair and addition to the code without fear of affecting any other part of the code's operation. It is possible that there may be multiple state-models in a machine operation. As mentioned above, one will be created for each asynchronous task. If they need to synchronize at a given point the two state-models will simply wait on the other's task state. After they synchronize, the two tasks will work together until they are no longer dependent on one another and they again become independent.
