AC Drives: AC690+ Series

The AC690+ series is a single range of AC drives designed to meet the requirements of all variable speed applications from simple, single-motor speed control through to the most sophisticated, integrated multi-drive systems. At the heart of the AC690+ is a highly advanced, 32 bit microprocessor based, motor control algorithm, to which can be added a host of control options that allow you to tailor the drive to meet your exact requirements.

Configurable into 4 different operating modes:

Open Loop Control

The V/Hz mode is ideal for simple speed control. The 6901 HMI is used for setting-up programming and controlling the drive. It has been ergonomically designed with a back-lit, 32-character,Alphanumeric display to provide intuitive access to all functions in a logical menu-driven format.

Sensorless Vector control

The sensorless mode assures an elevated accuracy of speed control, thanks to the algorithm of MRAS (Model Reference Adaptive System) control. This innovative design guarantees speed control (without any feedback) based on continuous motor-modeling.

Closed Loop Flux Vector control

Full Flux Vector Control is obtained by simply fitting the AC690+ with an encoder receiver Tech Box and encoder. This guarantees 100% continuous control from zero speed, to satisfy most demanding applications.

Regenerative Control

The regenerative mode reuses the energy generated by the motor (during deceleration or conditions of overhauling load) in applications such as unwinds, test stands and other such applications.

DC Drives: DC590+ Series 2

The DC590+ Integrator Series 2 digital DC drive meets the demands of the most complex motor control applications. Featuring 32-bit control architecture, the DC590+ benefits from the same function block capability as the AC690+ AC drive.

Extensive application software (including winder control as standard) together with Function Block Programming and configurable I/O creates a total drive system in a single module. To further improve operational flexibility, the drive communicates with all popular industrial protocols, including Ethernet, Profibus, ControlNet, DeviceNet and CANopen, making it suited to integration into larger multi-motor systems. The DC590+ can be programmed using the same DSE Lite software as Parker's AC range of drives, simplifying configuration, parameter setting, monitoring and diagnostics. DSE Lite software is provided free of charge with each drive.

Innovation

The DC590+ can also be ordered as a ready to install drive package: the DRV. This is a single integrated module that includes all the associated power components within a single package. This reduces design time, panel space, wiring time and cost. The innovative DRV design is a result of experience in hundreds of applications in diverse sectors of industrial automation.
